i30 Sedan N Facelift Announcement

Hey kids!

Its Ryan, again here to provide some additional coverage of the i30 Sedan N or in the rest of the western world the Elantra N. After a number of leaks over the last few weeks Hyundai finally released a trailer for the facelift. Just a quick note, my blog is currently broken and images don't load in properly 🥲 instead I've put links to images here.

Side view

The exterior changes are pretty unsignificant, much of the body is the same with the cool indented triangular shapes in the doors going down along the side. With the same piano black spoiler and red trimmings.

There are two MAJOR changes from what I can see, they are: (1) The new DRLs/Headlights, (2) The new wheel design.

Front View

Lets dive a bit deeper into the front light design, compared to the previous version the DRLs now appear to have copied from the Golf Mk8 by running across the entire front grill. The headlight module itself has been replaced and now appears to be two instead of three individual modules alongside a DRL bar at the top of the module. Along the front side we also see a slightly revised front grill design with less paint but what looks to be more air flow. It also appears that they have flattened and painted the Hyundai logo on the front to be more inline with the rest of the styling.

Overall View

The new wheel design reminds me of the modern sexy era of Alpha Romeo GIULIA. With their sleek pentagonal circle flowers, these diamond cut wheels are sure to turn heads even more than before. Sorry these images are lifted directly from the Hyundai video.

🍑 (Rear End)

The rear end hasn’t changed much at all, it still retains the FUCKING beautiful light bar, along with two fist sized exhaust tips. Just like the front they appear to have painted or coated the Hyundai logo black and the Elantra badging black (I doubt we’ll get a black i30 badge here in Australia).

Thanks to Hyundai for keeping this car alive, unlike the hatch N and the fastback N this car appears to be sticking around for at least the next few years. Cheers to Alan for continuing to post my actual trash writing <3, maybe one day I’ll be able to do a real car review.

Please Hyundai loan me a car to do a review on 🥰.
